This song really speaks to me in the stage of life I am in right now. Jenny Jordan Frogley is an inspiration to me and I love the message of this song.
I sometimes feel that who I am is lost among all of the different work I am performing. I am a mother, and a new mother, a wife, a homeschooler, a Primary president...etc... These are many of the things that I do, and they are part of who I am. I am grateful for all of this work I get to participate in, especially for the calling of being a mother and a wife. These are the most treasured parts of my life, and yet they are not me.
Some days I just want to be me. Just me. And do the things that I love to do. Singing is one of those things that is a part of who I am. Singing fills my soul and lifts my spirit like nothing else. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have had and will have to share my voice. I especially treasure these moments because they are few and far between.
The words of this song are mine. Someday....I will fly.
In the meantime I am doing an important work and this work is making me who I will be.
